Literature Text

their world was as though a book only but a chapter behind the humans.  rudimentary villages scattered the land and everywhere he looked, there were dragons.  they filled the sky, as if leaves blown by the wind.  rick had wished now, more than ever, to have wings and fly.  his friends were truly blessed, or so he thought.  in truth, they were klutzy and they had but only remedial education.  those whom were from the human world seemed geniouses against the masses.  off in the distance there was a skyscraper, tall as the great forests that covered most the land.  rick could see words brandished on it's side, but couldn't make out what they said.

he had wanted to go there, but spoke none of it.  the task at hand was more important than sightseeing.  Zenith spoke, "hey, seto, don't you have a house around here somewhere?  we shall need lodgings for the night..."  seto looked around a great deal before responding, "umm... yeah, i do.  i think it's somewhere over this way..."  he pointed in a direction, before leading the others to a surprisingly homely house.  it was brightly colored and well kept, which was astonishing to rick, seeing as Seto couldn't possably keep the cave tidy.  next to the nice, clean house was a run down, beaten, boarded up thing, but they entered the colorful one.

the house was deceptively large.  it had looked quite tiny from the outside, but inside, it was as large as a palace!  it had two staircases that led up and met at the middle, then led to the upper floor together.  the room was vast and empty, perhaps a testament to his lonliness?  there was a passage off to the left and one leading down, over on the right.  Seto showed each of us to our rooms (Taco and Nanaki sharing one), then informed us of food later.  Tybsly left with Seto to prepare the food.  for now, rick was happy to have a room to himself, for he was tired and a little overwhelmed.

Tybsly took the left passage on the ground floor with Seto, all the while talking to him.  it had been a while since their 'encounter', but they acted the best of friends.  Seto had been gone a while, so it seemed suitable to be told of any changes by the one person whom had been here last.  before long, they had found the kitchen and to their surprise, someone had already prepared a feast!

only then did seto remember; he had had a good friend help him out while he stayed here, so seto assumed he made it when he heard they were returning.  it was like a roomate, but more equal share partnership.  seeing as they both had their eye on this place when it went up for sale, the called a truce, sharing the expenses.  his name was Ophiuchus, greek for "serpent bearer".  a mild tempered guy, supporting a small family consisting of himself, his mate, and his one child.  he was a monochrome dragon, being mostly grey he's what is considered an 'albino' in their realm.  not much of a swordsman, but an un-relenting will makes him a formitable foe.  seto was glad Ophiuchus was his friend.

"one such as yourself cannot be so rude as to renounce the past and make me wonder, seto.  you must tell me what has transpired during your travels.  what grand adventure has befallen my dearest friend and comrade in arms?"  ophiuchus felt his request was not as hard to fulfill.  "hmm.. where to start..?" seto wondered aloud, "i... have met someone!  that's right... right?  well, she's sweet and cuddley..."  seto had gone on to describe her in detail, eluding her name.  "Oi!  have you forgotten me?"  Tybsley interrupted "men are not the best at mushy stuff, leave it for the females!  i'm hungy!  food me!"  he swiftly snatched a roll, from the air, that had been lobbed at him by seto to calm his stomach.  Tybsley stuffed the roll in his mouth, dribbling crumbs everywhere.
sorry for it being so short ^^;
